'I had nowhere to go' to open Locarno Cineasti del presente section 2016-07-12
The result of my recent work with artist and director Douglas Gordon is going to open the “Cineasti del presente” section of the Locarno film festival 2016.
It’s a portrait of Jonas Mekas with a very radical and unusual visual and sound approach. Mixed in Dolby Atmos.
Locarno festival artistic director Carlo Chatrian’s statement about the film:
“Although I do not want to reveal any more about this extraordinary project, I can say that Douglas Gordon offers us a truly sensorial experience, which challenges the concept of seeing, and links the idea of the present with that of memory”
